Frost chilling at Margaret's house, little suspecting what awaits her.
Ermahgerd! Ah herv errs!
She was actually very good about getting her ears taped. Margaret trimmed her nails while I held, then I taped ears while Margaret held. Collar. Ears. What other indignities await?
But I am also sad, for it is time for Rosy to go back home to her mom Amy in Florida. I am so grateful to Amy for letting me have her this past year, to show and love. I know Amy misses her, and I know Rosy misses HER, and also misses her beloved sheep. I've learned a lot from Rosy, how to connect, train, groom, and foster that sparkle in her. Her last four shows she looked and showed tremendously. She's still one major shy of her CH, but I know more herding titles await her. I love you, Rody-O, and you be good for your Mom Amy.
Dead perfect stack at Kalamazoo
JMHO, but I think she's the most correct and lovely dog in the WB lineup

I seldom show my own dogs -- I like to know how they stack up against the competition. I can't see that when I'm standing over them. But from outside the ring, I am sometimes so very puzzled about what judges might be seeking. I've seen them default to color or base everything on expression and on whether or not they give ears. There are only a handful of all breed judges that recognize a good dog -- though many know a good handler.
ReplyDeleteI hope little Frost is lots of fun to show.
